At our distillery, we take great pride in creating gins that are meant to be enjoyed neat. However, we also believe that there is a time and place for cocktails, which is why we have partnered with Restaurant Bryggargatan and their head bartender Anton Berg to create five unique signature cocktails that showcase the distinctive flavors of our gins.
Anton has expertly crafted these cocktails to highlight the natural characteristics of our spirits and to continue the story of our gins in a new and exciting way. We invite you to try these cocktails and discover the depth and complexity of our gins for yourself.
Arctic Raspberry Gimlet
ÓGIN Arctic
“This cocktail is our take on the Gimlet classic. ÓGIN Arctic really shines with its unique and intensive flavour. It’s all about balance and enhancing the arctic raspberry, which is truly unique to the region - and to this gin.”
Ingredients
5cl ÓGIN Arctic
5-6 Leafs of bog myrtle
3cl Lime juice
2cl Simple syrup
Preparation
Garnish with arctic raspberries and bog myrtle. Serve over clear ice and with a cold neutral tonic water, preferably Fever Tree.
Cloud Sour
ÓGIN Cloud
“For me, this cocktail was about achieving a similar experience as to going out in the Swedish forest searching and picking the berries. After walking through the rough terrain you finally reach a mire, and there they are. Golden berries all around you - feel the excitement! You take a few more steps. The wet mire drenching your shoes - but it is worth it. You sit down and reach for your first cloudberry. Perfectly balanced flavours, like nothing you have ever tried before. The Cloudberry Sour captures this feeling by not compromising on any of the flavours. It is pure, rich and magical.”
Ingredients
5cl ÓGIN Cloud
2 tablespoons of Cloudberry Jam
2cl Honey
3cl Egg white
3cl Lemon Juice
2 Dashes of Angostura bitters
Preparation
Mix all ingredients in a shaker, make sure you get a nice creamy head.
Top up with Soda water and a little bit of salt.
Use rosemary and cloudberries for garnishing the cocktail.
Nature & Tonic
ÓGIN Nature
“The idea behind this gin and tonic is to capture the pure flavours of the region which, just like the gin itself, carries bold and clear flavours. The addition of arctic raspberries, pine shoots and bog myrtle also ties in well with the flavour profile of the gin itself. Adding lemon juice gives the drink a refreshing tone and is a nice finish. “
Ingredients
5cl ÓGIN Nature Gin
0,5cl Lemon Juice
Arctic Raspberries
Pine shoots and bog myrtle
Preparation
Serve over clear ice and with a cold neutral tonic water, preferably fever tree.
(Missing out of the local ingredient additions? Try adding rosemary, a few normal raspberries and an extra dash of lemon juice.)
Barrel Martini
ÓGIN Barrel
“The ÓGIN Barrel is an amazing gin for all martini lovers. The aging process for this gin enhances the juniper notes and makes it more dry, giving the gin a smooth yet textured feeling. Try experimenting with different proportions and vermouths for your ideal mix.”
Ingredients
7cl ÓGIN Barrel
1cl Dry Vermouth
Olives
Preparation
Stir over clear ice. Be careful about dilution. Garnish with one or two olives. I also recommend trying other classics such as a negroni with an ÓGIN twist.
How To Make A Pink Gin Fizz
ÓGIN Pink
“ÓGIN pink carries a very floral and powerful aroma. My Pink Gin Fizz works with these flavours and adds some new layers to it. The fruity approach is central and by adding elements of bitterness, saltiness and acidity we are left with a wonderfully balanced, unique cocktail.”
Ingredients
3cl ÓGIN Pink
2cl Aperol
2 dashes of angostura bitters
2cl Agave syrup
3cl Lemon juice
3cl egg white
10cl Fruity sour beer preferably
